The Smiles Behind the Scenes
AO Celebrates 50 Years of Smiles
They say that “Behind every successful business, there are team members who made all things possible.”
This statement couldn’t be more true for the team at Associated Orthodontists. As we celebrate our 50thanniversary and fondly remember past and present employees that are the foundation of our success, we’d like to take the opportunity to highlight those that have been with us for years, decades . . . and even from the very beginning.
But, before we introduce the members of our decade-plus club, we’d like mention that over 50% of AO team members have been here for 5 years or more! Together, we’ve stood the test of time, making Associated Orthodontists the area’s most renowned orthodontic practice.
These employees have been with us for at least 10 years! Some are on the front lines creating beautiful smiles, while others are behind the scenes making sure our days run smoothly and our patients are getting the best experience.

Kari joined the AO team back in 2004 as an administrative assistant, doing everything from answering phones and scheduling patients, to coordinating insurance and entering data.
Today, Kari is our Marketing Coordinator, making sure our internal and external marketing efforts are running smoothly. Most importantly, she helps make sure a visit to AO is an amazing one for our patients!
These ladies have seen — and done — it all in their 30 plus years with Associated Orthodontists. Not only did they have the privilege of working with AO’s founding partners — Drs. Osterberger, Peterson and Carollo — they saw AO go from two offices to its current six locations. In over three decades, these team members have done everything from making retainers and assisting doctors, to scheduling patients and even planting flowers.

FROM THE BEGINNING
This lady definitely deserves a category of her own! Hired by Dr. Donald Carollo in July 1970 after answering a Help Wanted ad in the The Herald-News, Lynn Homerding has been a pillar of AO ever since. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to hear her sweet voice answer the phone when you give our office a call.
We often hear “Lynn’s the best,” “Is Lynn still there?” and a favorite from many parents “I remember Lynn from when I had my braces.” Needless to say, Lynn is unforgettable.
Over the years, Lynn has assisted multiple doctors, hundreds of AO team members, thousands of patients and generations of families. When you say Associated Orthodontists, Lynn Homerding is a name that has become synonymous with it.
The Original Three
In 1969, Associated Orthodontists was founded by three partners — Dr. George Osterberger, Dr. Henry Peterson and Dr. Donald Carollo. Our first office, located at 1118 N. Larkin Avenue, still sees patients today!
Today, the legacy of “The Original Three” lives on through our current employees and the generations of patients we see each and every day. We thank these doctors for laying the extraordinary foundation for our practice.
Associated Orthodontists: 50 Years Later
Today, Associated Orthodontists includes the most experienced and renowned orthodontists in the area. Current partners, Dr. Michael Casey, Dr. David Cortopassi, Dr. Scott Soderquist and Dr. Pat Jones, believe a healthy smile can do wonders for a patient, and they enjoy helping patients realize the smile of their dreams.
This team proudly continues the practice’s long-standing tradition of creating healthy smiles, making a positive impact in our communities, creating a nuturing work atmosphere for our employees and providing patients an exceptional orthodontic experience — all in a welcoming and family-friendly environment.
The team at Associated Orthodontists extends a heartfelt “Thank You” to our past and present employees, as well as our patients and dental community, for their 50 years dedication and support.
We couldn’t have done it without you!
