Associated Orthodontists Hosting Smile Drive

March event benefits Joliet Boys & Girls Club

In honor of National Children’s Dental Health Month, Associated Orthodontists, in partnership with America’s ToothFairy and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, is hosting a month-long Smile Drive to collect oral health care products for children and teens in need. The drive will run throughout the month of March, and all items collected will benefit the George Werden Buck Boys & Girls Club in Joliet.

Current patients of Associated Orthodontists participating in the drive will be entered into a drawing as a thank you for their support. One winner will receive 300 Smile Miles points for online gift card redemption, plus an additional winner from each Associated Orthodontists location will win 150 Smile Miles points.

The general public is also welcome to participate, and can drop items off at any Associated Orthodontists location during normal business hours. Participants are encouraged to contact their local Associated Orthodontists office to confirm weekly hours of operation.

“We are excited to be partnering with the George Werden Buck Boys & Girls Club in Joliet, and we look forward to making this drive an annual event at AO,” said Julie Gardner, Director of Practice Development with Associated Orthodontists. “Supporting our communities always has, and continues to be, an integral part of our practice. We will continue to look for community-based events similar to this that will benefit those in need of assistance.”

Kahlil Diab, Executive Director with the George Werden Buck Boys & Girls Club, said this program will help support health initiatives within the organization. We are appreciative of the efforts that Julie and Associated Orthodontists have put forth with this initiative. The Smile Drive directly fits in to our Health and Welfare program with the goal of assisting underprivileged youth in our community achieve healthy lifestyles, which is one of our key priority outcome goals.”
